Watchlist Raye means collecting relatives, family and neighbors during Idul Fitri Fitri to enjoy a mealThis tradition has become routine for the Tribe Besemah covering Pagaralam City area, Lahat district, District Semende, and the District Moreover the Muaraenim. However, in each region, the show can be different. For example, there are just coming to enjoy dishes from home to home. Then, there was also accompanied by other rituals. For example, before enjoying a meal, do the prayer together. There are also accompanied by a treat. Generally, Watchlist Raye only visited the house, all citizens eat in a hamlet with a menu that had been prepared host.Activities were carried out as a form of gratitude to God Almighty for having run a one-month fasting during the Ramadan. Pantuan Raye also had the aim of improving relations with fellow friendship.Although these traditions have lasted for hundreds of years or more, the tradition is still widely performed Pagaralam urban community living in hamlets, particularly those still holding strong custom.

The Islamic Hijri Lunar Calendar or

When Islam appeared in the seventh century, there are several calendars in issue worldwide. Most of the solar system, some of which are lunar and lunisolar. They are not like 2010 or 2011 calendar calendar was created and implemented in different civilizations in the world. It is significant that they all have different start dates refers to age.

Inconsistencies between different calendar eventually became a dilemma for Muslim youth. Started coming hard to know constantly the various documents and correspondence dated mainly in the Islamic world increased rapidly.

In order to solve the problem and set aside speaks an effective system of appointments that are clearly marked Islamic holy months and holidays, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab the second caliph of Islam ordered the establishment of an Islamic lunar calendar. This happened in 638 AD. The number of months is twelve. Use of cycles of the moon to measure the time decided by the verses of the Quran in different.

Starting point for the famous modern Muslim calendar Muslim migration to the security of Medina to escape persecution in Mecca. The event itself occurred some 16 years earlier. So, for the purpose of the event, the name was decided as a Hijri Islamic calendar. The word is derived from the Arabic word for migration is known as the Hijra. So the date of the Islamic calendar days to go and serve to 16 July 622 AD in the Gregorian calendar. One month of Islamic lunar calendar begins with the fresh views of a crescent. The Gregorian calendar and the calendar ofIslam internationally approved both have the same 12 months.

What You Don't Know is Fooling You, Indeed! Which Islam Are You Talking About? Part II of IV

At a recent forum I attended in Washington DC, organizers didn't go other ways in addressing that mistaken Islam in such limited terms, quote: "The Islamist movement seeks to impose tenets of Islam, and specifically Shari'a law, as a legal, political, religious, and judicial authority both in Muslim states and in the West. It is generally composed of two wings-that which operates violently, propagating suicide-homicide bombing and other terrorist activities; and that which operates lawfully, conducting a "soft jihad" within our media, government, and court systems; through Shari'a banking; and within our school systems." End quote.
As it appears from the above, unfairly to common sense, organizers pinpointed "two wings, that which operates violently, propagating suicide-homicide bombing and other terrorist activities; and that which operates lawfully, conducting a "soft jihad". What about the Islam on behalf of which we remain truly faithful and desire for others what we desire for ourselves? What about that Islam on behalf of which billions of Muslims every year engage in a journey made of sacrifices and self privation aimed at sharing the suffering, hunger and thirst along with performing good acts in order to remind ourselves of the very daily existence many others face regardless of creed, race, gender and religion somewhere out there? As recently admitted Washington post's Anthony Shaddid about Obama's tour in the Middle East this June 2009, "lies by a generation of authoritarian Arab leaders to their people have given many a healthy skepticism of any public statement, whatever the source".
The United States of America proudly vows such a cult to modernism, Americanism in the name of its great ideals: freedom, expansionism, and lately, thanks to ecological consciousness, sustainability. In other words because America has conquered so much with so big and for so long, it has acquired such a strong mindset known not to do well with the interference of the outside norms... The United Nations questioned legitimacy when it comes to setting the rules and resolutions nations have to go by being redundantly challenged by United States "exceptionism" is a flat evidence of it's propensity to antiquated imperialism. Now that cold war is less intense than what it was a couple of decades ago, ideology and the fight it takes to prevail on one another seems to be the battle ground that draws more rethorics than common sense.
"Man is the enemy of what he does not know." says the Greek as well as the Arabic proverb to assess the scope and impact of such a limited description, stemming from obviously limited understanding of Islam at large. Islam is derived from the Arabic root "Salema": peace, purity. Islam dates back to the age of Adam and its message has been chronologically conveyed to man by God's prophets and messengers, including Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Islam's message has been restored and enforced in the last stage of the religious evolution by God's last prophet and messenger, Muhammad (PBUH). Submission is the key, one way or another. Paradoxically the more we seem to rebel against that submission the more it is obvious that we demonstrate our dire need for some guidance of a spiritual order yet to be defined.

Islamic Shops - How They Help Others Learn About Islam

Religion is a topic of discussion that can be very controversial at times, as many people have different perceptions of the same doctrines. It is particularly hard for people belonging to different religions to understand and comprehend the various things that any particular religion teaches. For each person their faith and beliefs are the only way of life and it is not easy for them to show acceptance about other religions. An Islamic shop is a useful tool that can be very useful for non Muslims to learn about many things about Islam.
A normal Islamic shop carries numerous items that are significant for Muslims including Islamic clothing items, Praying equipment and Islamic books and CD's that contain oceans of information about Islam for Muslims as well as Non Muslims. There are books about the life of Prophet Muhammad, how to lead a good Muslim life, role of a person in a society, humanitarian and societal issues. Someone keen about learning more about Islam can easily do so from these books. Typically an Islamic shop which is located in an area where the majority is non Muslim can prove to be very advantageous in promoting the religion and gaining acceptance and tolerance from people of other faiths.
As Islam promotes ethical values like fair trade and good customer service by being polite and friendly towards the entire mankind, these features when exhibited in an Islamic shop can be very beneficial for the entire Muslim community living in a non Muslim area. People learn to trust and appreciate the good values that are a key part of Islam thus realizing that the followers of the Messenger of Allah are good, kind and humble people.
The negative media exposure due to terrorism globally has destroyed the peaceful image of Islam. An Islamic shop situated in an ethnic area where it can get traffic from different religions of the world can go a long way in restoring the positive impression that people had previously. In addition, the customers walking into an Islamic shop can view the different items that are trademarked with Muslims and understand their significance in a Muslim's day to day life. Prime examples are the Islamic clothing items like abayas, hijabs and jubbas. These garments are worn by Muslims as they follow the dress codes laid out in the Quran.
These loose fitting and modest clothing items are worn in order to preserve the honour and respect of the Muslims and have been worn by Muslims from the time of the Prophet Muhammad. Today the perception that only terrorists wear such clothes can be disregarded once people learn the religious importance of these items. In fact, today an Islamic shop can act as a binding force for expat Muslims as well as a sea of information about Islam for the non Muslims. These shops make the lives of people around them much easier and convenient.

About Islam; Do Non-Muslims Go To Heaven?

I have seen this question before from many people; "You don't think any one other than a Muslim will go to heaven, right? I see the Muslim clerics telling their people to kill the non-Muslims; we Christians are the infidels according to them!" And it's true, we have all seen this. Indeed, it is a shocking statement which deserves a second look.
After all, these leaders are representing a whole religion when they make these statements in the name of Islam. We need to discern the extent of the truth behind this claim. We can look to the Quran, God's final and proven scripture, to see how the non-Muslims are addressed. Does God tell us that they may experience the final peaceful and joyous abode of heaven, or are they truly all destined for a miserable, bitter end?
Upon referencing the English Quran translation by Rashad Khalifa, we can clearly see the truth. Yes, God does assure us that there are believers destined for heaven in all different groups. We find that the words Islam and Muslim are more than just a name. They are a description of performing total devotion to God alone. The equivalent English word for Islam is Submission, which is practiced by a Submitter to God alone [1]. There are submitters who are Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, or from other backgrounds. All submitters who are devoted to God alone without setting up any idols are redeemed by God [2]. Thus, God's scripture, the Quran, tells us that His devoted worshippers, no matter what they call themselves, will go to heaven.

About Islam - Prayers In The Quran

The Quran provides us with many specific prayers that we may use for ourselves. The Quran contains the Contact Prayers in Sura 1, as well as other various prayers of supplication and commemoration. A list of Quranic prayers is provided here. God advises us in Sura 2, Verse 186: When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their prayers when they pray to Me...
In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

The very first prayer we encounter in the Quran is the Contact Prayers. These are the specific words used by Muslims five times a day for Salat. Sura 1 (The Key), Verses 1-7: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help. Guide us in the right path; the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers."
Other Quranic prayers are;
[2:128] "Our Lord, make us submitters to You, and from our descendants let there be a community of submitters to You. Teach us the rites of our religion, and redeem us. You are the Redeemer, Most Merciful."
[2:201] "Our Lord, grant us righteousness in this world, and righteousness in the Hereafter, and spare us the retribution of Hell."
[2:250] "Our Lord, grant us steadfastness, strengthen our foothold, and support us against the disbelieving people."
[2:286] "Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, and protect us from blaspheming against You, like those before us have done. Our Lord, protect us from sinning until it becomes too late for us to repent. Pardon us and forgive us. You are our Lord and Master. Grant us victory over the disbelieving people."
[3:8] "Our Lord, let not our hearts waver, now that You have guided us. Shower us with Your mercy; You are the Grantor."
[3:16] "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins, and spare us the agony of the hellfire."
[3:26-27] "Our god: possessor of all sovereignty. You grant sovereignty to whomever You choose, You remove sovereignty from whomever You choose. You grant dignity to whomever You choose, and commit to humiliation whomever You choose. In Your hand are all provisions. You are Omnipotent. You merge the night into the day, and merge the day into the night. You produce the living from the dead, and produce the dead from the living, and You provide for whomever You choose, without limits."
[3:147] "Our Lord, forgive us our sins, and our transgressions, strengthen our foothold, and grant us victory over the disbelievers."
[3:191-192] "Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be You glorified. Save us from the retribution of Hell. Our Lord, whomever You commit to Hell are the ones You have forsaken. Such transgressors have no helpers."
[3:193-194] "Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith and proclaiming: `You shall believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our transgressions, remit our sins, and let us die as righteous believers. Our Lord, shower us with the blessings you promised us through Your messengers, and do not forsake us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break a promise."
[6:162-163] "My Contact Prayers (Salat), my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted absolutely to GOD alone, the Lord of the universe. He has no partner. This is what I am commanded to believe, and I am the first to submit."
[7:23] "Our Lord, we have wronged our souls, and unless You forgive us and have mercy on us, we will be losers."

[10:10] ...Their prayer therein (in the Gardens of Bliss) is: "Be You glorified, our god," their greeting therein is, "Peace," and their ultimate prayer is: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."
[10:85-86] "We trust in GOD. Our Lord, save us from the persecution of these oppressive people. Deliver us, with Your mercy, from the disbelieving people."

How About a Cultural Islamic Renaissance Which Includes Maximum Freedom for Women?

The other day, I was speaking with an acquaintance and they brought up a very good point, and that was; what if the Islamic World had a renaissance which exploded with culture, new freedoms, art, and the advances of science? Consider if you will that the Middle East has a net inflow of global monies for oil and resources. Consider that the Middle Decentralists make very good businessmen (and women), and more and more folks are becoming highly educated. My acquaintance asks if within the next 8-years if this is possible? Well, these are all great concepts and questions so let's talk, shall we?
In my view, I'd say it is totally achievable, especially in key areas, in fact, it's already starting. Consider the progress in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, and Turkey. We could see the same in Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iran, Iraq, and even Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Sure, I can see it plain as day, it's doable, even on that accelerated time-table.
Let's face it the Middle East needs the United States for the inflow of money, and the US needs the oil, and therefore like it or not we are coupled, and those mutual needs will not be changing anytime soon. It's obviously best if everyone gets along, and at some point the cultural differences must be celebrated for what they are and the differences understood, not as to barrier to friendship, but as a glimpse as to how others live and the wonderful diversity amongst human populations.
My acquaintance remind me that the US would be better off to assist in any way that the Middle East would ask for our assistance to help with a renaissance within their culture, regionally, or throughout, as the "Middle East will remain vital to US National interests." Yes, I agree with my acquaintance and would add something to that statement, because I don't see it as only in the Middle East.
I'd like to say that; "Every Region of the World remains vital to the US, and every nation, region, and peoples of planet earth have human interests to all nations and peoples!" So, with that said; "Ye" and plus; "we will continue to need the resources, as that light-sweet crude is perfect for our fuel needs here at home, and abroad."
So, since they need our money for their economy, and we do need the oil, we ought to find a way to mend our differences and move forward with a peaceful and friendly future. Please consider all this.

I do not know is cheating, done! What Islam are they talking about? Part IV of IV

Most publicized Islamic scholars today completely misinterpret Jihad and misrepresented to the public in general. These scholars, of a species, are in fact responsible for murders committed by people ignorant, selfish, who ignore why Islam was forced to fight battles in its history. The billions of believers, who are the backbone of Islam have no need of Fame, prestige of material prosperity while it is substantial to the good life. Those who coin the politics of Islam today had a commitment that is coming to an end in this 21st century. Is carried out more research about Islam; the more unknown territories appear in the light towards the unexpected path cohesion in an interdependent world regardless of our individual missions. At the end of the Bush era, Rumsfeld announced new methods of rupture of soil which favor studies of the Middle East within its Department of former Pentagon to face more unknowns in Islam. Findings in Islam still pointing out the facts that we are dealing here with conscious people made aware of decisions based on the strains of modern life. Here is the time to make crystal clear: it is in the interest of peculiar excursive (scholars and Western policy) and to keep feeding the idea that Islam is a threat. With that premise, all awhile logistics counteroffensive is designed to "fight" a potential threat.
An associated press news, National President Barack Obama Security Adviser provides a refutation swept Wednesday (May 27, 2009) in charge of former Vice-President Dick Cheney that United States is less safe under the new administration.
Pointing to increases in spending, trying to get out of Iraq and revitalise the strategy for Afghanistan and a broad campaign repair the U.S. reputation abroad, former general of Navy James Jones said that the nation is safer today which has been in defence.
Imagine a moment: how much a joke and savings would be if the Western world realized that the scam of the century long that Islam is a threat was allegedly by a group of scholars somewhere in Arabia who wanted to fight another group of brotherhood to be and remain the godparents of Islam when there is no need to Godfatherhood all in the business of this God? It will surely take time until the real Islam accused together and that damage assessment policy of the branch of Islam and participated in a project of effective restoration is worth: the constituent largest in Islam is Pacific and was prepared to live in a manner consistent and peaceful, worker. What is happening in some other can affect me negatively, helping people help themselves will help change me... that touch you always will be, sooner or later. You can not live forever and enjoy life forever, which means that we are here on a mission, timeline and fundamentals that remains to be grateful to those who before and after us in concrete forms...Manage externalities always has been a matter of survival in Islam; But what to expect when those disseminating news are interested in the facets more eccentric of the truth?
